In deciding to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, you are entering an exciting and productive time in your life. Your choice of a residency training program is the most important aspect of ensuring a successful career.

We are pleased that you have expressed interest in the residency program at Washington Hospital Center. The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has been providing inpatient and outpatient services to the metropolitan Washington, DC, community since 1936. With more than 30 surgeons on staff, the department provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial services through the Washington Hospital Center ambulatory care, emergency department and MedSTAR shock/trauma unit, as well as through Children’s National Medical Center, the Washington DC Veteran’s Affiairs Hospital and the Johns Hopkins University Hospital

Our fully accredited residency program provides a comprehensive educational experience with diverse surgical opportunities, an excellent staff, and the most rigorous standards for meeting and surpassing certification and accreditation requirements.
