Application Process & Selection


To qualify for the Washington Hospital Center residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery, the applicant must:

 have graduated from or be eligible for graduation from an accredited U.S. dental school, Canadian school or an international dental school that provides an equivalent education

 be self-motivated, disciplined, confident and inquisitive with a willingness to learn and an inclination toward clinical and surgical practice with a strong academic background

The OMFS residency program utilizes the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS). Applications may be obtained after June 1 by contacting PASS directly at:

In addition to documents required by PASS, an official undergraduate transcript, a completed Washington Hospital Center GME application, and a check made to the Washington Hospital Center Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery for the amount of $45.00 should be sent directly to:

The Resident Selection Committee will review all applications and hose applicants selected for interview will be contacted personally by a committee member.
